The esoteric tradition holds that two humanities stood between us and the beginning, both of them in flesh and both of them our ancestors: the Lemurians of the Third Race and the Atlanteans of the Fourth. It has held this since 1888 and in older forms long before.Genetics has now found two vanished human peoples living inside us, and only two: the Denisovans, whose inheritance gathers in the Indian and Pacific world, and the Neanderthals, who lie to the north and west. Two and two, with no third on either side to choose between.The shape agrees as well as the count. The tradition has the Atlanteans coming out of Lemurian stock. The genome has both branches coming out of one parent population, one remaining east and one moving north and west.This essay proposes that the Denisovans are the Lemurians and the Neanderthals are the Atlanteans, and follows the identification through the geography of Mu, through Blavatsky's naming of the Australians as the purest Third Race descendants, through the fire that took Lemuria and the water that took Atlantis, and through the sub-races of both. It states where the correspondence costs something, and it ends with two ideas about what the hybridization now under way may be restoring to us.
